Honda Helix

The Honda Helix is a vehicle capable of adapting, evolving, and conforming to user needs anywhere in the world. Using insight gained from the human genome, biotechnology, and environmental forecasting, the Honda Helix will actively and dynamically conform to the user's needs, in environments ranging from the congested skies of Japan, to the wide open roads of America.

The Honda Helix incorporates human DNA with "adaptive polymers that allow changes in the car's shape, color and materials," its creators say.

As the Honda Helix is designed to be a shape shifter, it makes the most of this ability to alter its dimensions to suit its environment. When in town, the car becomes taller and more upright to use less road space and help it navigate tightly congested streets more easily. Hit the motorway and it becomes long and low for speed and stability, while more intertwined urban roads see it shorten its length to make it more agile.
